Medium, fruit-forward, a little soil and tannin to anchor it. Plenty of potential and see why the elder brethren are popular. The Rosso is a superb pizza wine and a bit more. Probably should wait for under $20. — 6 years ago

Normally Friday is Pizza and Pinot but tonight we decided to do this Chianti Classico from Borgo Scopeto from the lovely Elisabetta Gnudi. — 4 years ago

16.5+. Classico indeed, except that chianti wasn’t as good 30 years ago. The Sangiovese really comes through in a distinctive way in this wine. Great year, pity to drink it so young, but that’s what I could get at the Coop in Chianciano (good range, by the way - Caparzo, Altesino, ...). — 8 years ago

Crisp, light with great mix of acidity and minerals. An interesting choice for white wine. — 9 years ago

Crazy easy to drink, great with pizza — 3 years ago
Nice, but a little less dry, peppery than we prefer — 5 years ago
Smooth. Light. Good legs. — 8 years ago
A Sangiovese clone that I really like. Made by Caparzo. Lighter and more fruit forward than a chianti Classico. Black cherry and blackberry with a smooth finish. Enjoyable bottle of wine. — 8 years ago
I love it. Not for Jess or Carla — 9 years ago
