Dark scarlet tawny color. Almost opaque. Strong CdP nose. Notes of herbs, red fruit, dry brush, dusty earth. Good balance in the mouth with fruit, acidity and structure. A bit over the top in its delivery with some heat involved, and a bit medicinal, but I liked this more than I thought I would. — 5 years ago

Reddish tawny, translucent. Subtle nose, notes of warm dark berries, dried brush and herbs, cranberries, some sweetness that includes brown sugar, and a little medicinal thing. Nicely balanced in the mouth. Fading fruit and tannins resolved. A nice wine but it's best days are probably behind it. Drink up. — 9 years ago

Still very dark for a 15 year old red. Smells like berry-plum sauce and leather. Bit of wet gravel and flint. Flavors are lovely and elevated. Black currants. A hint of cola nut. Licorice drops. This is quite an elegant and lovely red. Could age longer. Beefy but with a velvet glove. — 10 months ago

Decanted for a few hours, then taken to Saison in SF. Tawny color with lite rims, mostly translucent. Deep powerful nose, with notes of red fruit, smoked meat, dry brush, Asian spice, pepper, dark moist soil and a little menthol. Rich, silky and intense in the mouth. Long finish.
