Blind tasting lunch 2009 theme. Nose with strong sugar and sweetness impression that we find on the round and fairly fat palate, a little bit of acidity to balnce it but a finish with some alcool and residual sugar, clearly identified as F. Cotat. 88-89 — 4 years ago
Superb Meursault, fresh, elegant, classy yet rich and full with a dense and savoury texture, great length and a finish that leaves us wanting more.

Here we are again. It’s a 2004 rose and this is just amazing. Why oh why did I just buy a case of this and not more? Shame on me. This is a spectacular champagne that keeps over-delivering — 3 months ago
Robe noire
Once again very nice, a touch buttery and with some lemon zest, fresh and nice vivid and energetic structure. 90-91
90-91 — 5 years ago
Tasted blind, 3 very different wines but all 3 were excellent and showed their character well.
A magnificent and very explosive nose almos, changing fast, complex, deep aromas of soices, black and then white pepper, Provence herbs, black currant, a superb nose. The palate is fairly powerful, a good acidity to go with the strong tannins but mostly amlkng delicious finish, impressive length. 91-92

Grogeous bottle, dark fruit, spices, a touch of oak still. Full bodied butmwith such a superb texture, silky, classy and very lengthy. — 4 years ago
Was this a Rhône blend in a previous vintage, or was I rating another wine? Perhaps the varietals change from year to year, so long as it represents “one valley”, i.e. Walla Walla. Regardless, this vintage is a nice Bordeaux style blend, 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc. Good stuff! It’s a big wine with balanced acidity. I enjoyed this as a cocktail wine. The mouthfeel is rich and thick, but not cloying. The use of oak is admirably restrained. It appreciated in flavor after some decanting. — 4 years ago

Very pretty color of peach with a salmon hue.
Strong nose of apples, citrus, peaches, yeast, light bread and minerals.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and tiny bubbles.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, over ripen strawberries, apples, limes, yeast, sea salt, brioche, spices, minerals, light earth and cardamom.
Long spicy finish with limes and grapefruits.
This 14 year old Rosé Champagne is drinking beautifully already, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years. Elegant, spicy and rich. Fruity and nicely balanced, complex and engaging.
Wine Spectator 96 points. Wine Advocate 95 points.
Good right out of the bottle, and better when not too cold.
A great sipping wine that paired beautifully with my Tuna Avocado Tartare.
A blend of 67% Pinot Noir and 33% Chardonnay, with 5% red wine. Disgorged in 2020.
12% alcohol by volume.
93 points.
