Stunning nose. Slate magnified by a telescope. Slate expression is unreal. Also some sweet plantains and vanilla extract. Blueberry. Some vulcanized rubber. Superb finesse and concentration. Wow the dry extract on this is insane. What a core. So intense and deep. A palate that is slightly confectionary. Just a beast but an elegant beast. One of the best Kabinetts I’ve ever had. Herbal nose and herbal palate. Shockingly cerebral. For MENSA users. Finish is sweet greens. Wow the mineral acid crunch. — 3 years ago

2020 June / July. This shows how just a little age brings out the depth in a traditional Mosel kabinett. It’s not qualitatively “better” than the 2018 JJ Prum wines, just more ready to drink - the stone is still there, there’s almost no petrol yet, but the fruit is deeper and more savory. — 6 years ago
