One of the best wines I’ve ever tasted. — 8 years ago
Simple crimson color and rim.
Extremely rich on the nose with brambles of layered herbs and inky fruits hinting at the terroir. Astringency on the nose as well with minimal tannins.
Remarkably, this tastes how it smells; full-bodied and fresh with a medium-long finish that opens up nicely. — 7 months ago
Zlatan Otok — Bilo Idro “Marina Cuvée Bijeli” 2023 — Dalmatia, Croatia 🇭🇷
Overview:
A coastal Croatian white blend built from indigenous Adriatic varieties including Bogdanuša, Pošip, Maraština, Prč, and Trebbiano Toscana. Crafted as a fresh, mineral-driven cuvée, this wine captures maritime salinity and sunlit vibrancy, delivering pure drinkability with unmistakable seaside character.
Aromas & Flavors:
Bright citrus, green apple, subtle tropical hints, white peach, saline minerality, and delicate herbal lift.
Mouthfeel:
Light-bodied, crisp, and ultra-refreshing with vibrant acidity and a clean, mouthwatering finish. The texture is sleek and linear, emphasizing freshness and energy rather than weight or oak influence.
Food Pairings:
Oysters, mussels, grilled shrimp, calamari, white fish, Mediterranean salads, goat cheese, light pasta with olive oil and herbs.
Personal Pick:
This is one of my ultimate casual sippers — the kind of bottle I can open without ceremony and happily pour all afternoon. It’s saline, crisp, and dangerously easy to drink. A wine that doesn’t try to impress — it just makes you smile.
Verdict:
A vibrant, coastal white delivering purity, minerality, and everyday joy. Ideal for warm weather, seafood tables, and anyone who loves clean, refreshing whites with personality.

Dalmatian island vineyards sit close to the Adriatic Sea, where intense sunlight and cooling sea breezes help preserve acidity and impart a distinctive saline character to local white blends. — 2 years ago
Great on the nose, fairly heavy. Preferred very chilled - strong taste. Paired (for me) best on a hot summer day with strong flavoured seafood meal. — 6 years ago

Savory and more complex than moj otok — 3 years ago
Aroma of juicy, ripe pineapple. Slightest hint of bitter lemon. Complex and beautiful. Pošip is great, and this is a particularly good one. — 7 years ago
Excellent. Bright and paired well with a pot roast - brought out more acidity and cut through the richness. — 8 years ago
Excellent zinfandel! Lots of oak and dry fruits like raisins in a long aftertaste, well balanced tannins and acidity, but still powerful and masculine. Would recommend! — 8 years ago
