Inky in color with a short reddish rim. Not showing much age.

Strong nose of red and black fruits with cedar, licorice, coffee, light earth, herbs, tobacco leaf, dark chocolates, eucalyptus and mediterranean spices.

Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, light vanilla, tobacco, herbs, spices, light cola, chocolates and peppercorn.

Long finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This gorgeous 13 year old Cabernet Franc based Bordeaux blend from Coombsville in Napa Valley is drinking at its peak now. Rich, extracted and 'in your face' kind of wine. Nicely balanced and very complex.

The Carmenere is very dominant right now, and it feels more like a Napa Merlot. Will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Delicious right out of the bottle, and even better after 45 minutes of airtime.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 51% Cabernet Franc, 32% Carmenere, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Merlot. Aged in all new French oak barrels. A tiny production of 1,044 bottles.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious 12 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Howell Mountain in Napa Valley. Elegant and rich. Fruit forward with a soft mouthfeel. complex and interesting.

This Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 7 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and better with airtime. Another great wine from the hands of Philippe Melka.

Good by itself, and will pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were aged in all new French Oak barrels for 20 months.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with a beautiful nose.

Showing black plums, black currants, cedar, dried figs, licorice, dark chocolates, earth, rhubarb, tobacco leaf, light black tea and black pepper.

Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.

This 32 year old Pauillac is still drinking beautifully, but a bit past its prime. Rich and elegant. Very complex and spicy.

This Second Growth Bordeaux needed 5 hours to open up properly, and was not that special right out of the bottle.

Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel, and still showing enough fruits to balance the earth notes.

Showing fresh cherries, raspberries, light oak, licorice, spices, chocolates, tobacco and herbs.

Medium length on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a tasty and easy drinking Pinot Noir from Santa Lucia Highlands in California. Showing nice complexity with good balance. Tangy and engaging. Elegant and fruit forward.

This Single Vineyard Pinot Noir is still young, but already enjoyable even by itself, and will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.

Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food.

100% Pinot Noir grapes were aged in (66% new) French oak barrels for 10 months. A tiny production of less than 1,800 bottles.

I had the 2023 vintage recently, and it was drinking even better.

A blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Mourvedre. A tiny production of only 900 bottles.

Fruit forward with good structure. Complex and interesting, spicy and entertaining.

Needs a few hours to open up properly, so be patient.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

A blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Cabernet Franc and 10% Merlot. Aged in (80% new) French Oak barrels for 22 months.

This is a delicious Merlot from Oakville in Napa valley. Nicely balanced and complex, soft and elegant.

Still young, but already enjoyable even by itself. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years. Showing good potential to become a 94+ point wine.

Alcohol is nicely integrated already, smooth and engaging.

I had the 2021 vintage not too long ago, and it is very consistent.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will also pair nicely with food.

This 9 year old Chardonnay from Burgundy is still drinking very nicely. Elegant and complex, with a nice mouthfeel. Spicy and entertaining.

Good right out of the bottle, and better when not too cold. Nicely balanced and easy drinking.

I had this vintage 5 years ago and decided to wait a few more years. Drinking better now.

Good by itself or with food.

Still young, and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years. Has good potential to become a 94+ point wine.
