Inky in color with a wide reddish rim.

Fruity nose of fresh cherries, plums, currants, light cedar, earth, herbs, chocolates and black pepper.

Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, cedar, spices, toast, licorice, chocolates, tobacco herbs, earth and light vinaigrette.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very tasty Merlot from Napa Valley. Rich and fruit forward. Elegant and very complex.

Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.

This 12 year old Single Vineyard Merlot is nicely balanced and still drinking at its peak.

Good by itself or with food.

A blend of 92% Merlot and 8% Cabernet Franc.

Beautiful nose of red and black fruits with cedar, licorice, chocolates, herbs, spices, tobacco leaf, dark coffee and black pepper.

Full-bodied with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with cherries, currants, plums, licorice, light oak, dark coffee, peppercorn, earth, herbs and mediterranean spices.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cranberries.

This 14 year old Merlot from Tuscany is a bit past its prime, but still very drinkable.

Showing nice complexity, but lacking balance. I've had this vintage 7 years ago, and it was drinking better.

Wine Enthusiasts 89 points.

Needed an hour to open up, and better with food.

100% Merlot grapes were aged in new oak barrels for 24 months.

Dark ruby in color with a short reddish rim.

Fruity nose and medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Showing black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, chocolates, toast, licorice, spices, earth, tobacco and herbs.

Long finish with round tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Merlot based blend from Bordeaux. Rich and extracted. Nicely balanced and complex.

This 16 year old is starting to drink at its peak now, and will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years.

Wine Advocate 96 points. Wine Spectator 96 points.

I've had the 2012 a few years ago, but this 2010 vintage is showing so much better.

Needs a couple of hours to open up properly, so be patient.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, or with food.

A blend of 55% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Aged for 17 months in French Oak barrels. Unfiltered and unfined.

Deep purple in color with a wide reddish rim.

Beautiful nose of black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, licorice, herbs, chocolates, light earth, garrigue and peppercorn.

Full bodied and soft, with medium plus acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black cherries, plums, light oak, spices, coffee, licorice, tobacco leaf, light earth, chocolates, herbs and peppercorn.

Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a very tasty Merlot based blend from Saint Emilion. Elegant and nicely balanced. Showing good complexity with a nice mouthfeel.

Needed 2 hours in the bottle to open up.

This 10 year old Merlot from the great 2016 vintage still feels young. Probably in its 'dumb phase' right now, and needs a few more years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 7 to 10 years.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and better with food.

A blend of 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc. Aged in (50% new) French Oak barrels.

Dark inky in color with a short purplish rim.

Fruity nose and full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate and very fruity.

Showing black currants, plums, cooked cherries, dried figs, cedar, vanilla, cooked raisins, chocolates, light earth, herbs, spices, dark coffee, peppercorn and licorice.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Merlot from Napa Valley. Fruit forward and extracted. Rich, and in your face kind of wine.

Still young, and needs 7 years in the bottle to mature properly. Will continue to age nicely in the next 15 years.

This 8-year-old is nicely balanced and dense, with enough acidity for the fruits. Complex with a nice mouthfeel. Big, bold and beautiful, with a teeth staining color. Not a good choice for a first date.

Wine Advocate 94 points.

The blend varies with each vintage. I've had the 2014 vintage a year ago, and loved it even more.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Dark ruby/ purple in color with a wide reddish/ brick rim.

Pretty nose of red and black fruits with light wood, herbs, light chocolates, earth, coffee and black pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, light oak, tobacco leaf, herbs, peppercorn, earth, dark chocolates and black tea.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Merlot from Pomerol. Well balanced and complex. Tangy and tasty.

Rich and elegant, with enough fruits to compliment the earth notes. Spicy and entertaining.

This 18 year old is drinking at its peak now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next few years.

I've had a few vintages of this wine, and it is much better with age.

A good sipping wine that will also pair nicely with food.

A blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 12 months in (50% new) French oak barrels.

Beautiful color of ruby with a wide brick rim.

Great nose with over ripen red fruits, forest floor and earth notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with plums, currants, cooked cherries, dried fruits, light wood, prunes, cola, chocolates, spices, herbs and vegetables.

Medium finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.

This 30 year old Merlot is still drinking nicely. Not at its peak anymore, but very tasty nonetheless. Elegant with some fruits left. Complex and interesting.

I've had a recent vintage not too long ago that was drinking better, although I did love the complexity here, especially on the nose.

Good by itself as a sipping wine, and will pair nicely with food too.

A blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Aged for 12 months in (30% new) French oak barrels.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black plums, cooked cherries, currants, light wood, coffee, dark chocolates, tobacco leaf, black tea, pencil lead, earth, herbs, mediterranean spices and peppercorn.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This 17 year old Merlot blend is still showing enough fruits to balance the earth notes.

What a nice surprise. I enjoyed it more than I expected. Nicely balanced and elegant. Complex and interesting.

Easy drinking and good by itself or with food. A good sipping wine.

A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with black plums, cooked cherries, currants, light wood, coffee, black tea, herbs, peppercorn, light earth and spices.

Nice finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This Merlot from Lalande de Pomerol in Bordeaux is spicy and entertaining. Nicely balanced and complex.

Drinking very nicely now, as a 6 year old, and will continue to age nicely in the next 5 years.

Needs an hour in the decanter to open up, but showing a pretty nose right out of the bottle.

Good by itself as a sipping wine or with food. Kosher and not Mevushal.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This 15 year old Merlot from Cotes de Bourg is drinking beautifully now. Elegant and rich. Complex, powerful and interesting.

Balanced and complex with a soft mouthfeel. Will continue to age nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

I've had younger vintages and it is very consistent. Delicious by itself as a sipping wine.

A blend of mostly Merlot with Cabernet Franc. Aged in French oak barrels.

14% alcohol by volume.
