2020 vintage….a warm vintage in Tuscany.
Gaja from Tuscany.
Merlot, Sangiovese and Syrah.
Dark plum, violets, black cherry, sandalwood, dark chocolate and earthy.
Great acidity and refreshing on the finish.
Just a baby…it will age well.

Tannic at the open and smoother into the finish. This one will be even better with more years behind it.

Wine is full bodied, purplish. On nose its violets, black cherries, cheedar, earthy. On palate, its sweet, little spicy, i can taste the brightness from sangiovese buts its more vegal to me. The structure, merlot balanced the syrah so it does mellowed the syrah attack. Long finish, tannic, give it 1 hour decant. Best after 2028.. cheers! 🍷

Mmmm, that was so good. Deep and rich with big notes of vanilla, tobacco and purple plums. This “Super Tuscan “ is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Syrah. This beauty is very full, and even jammy on the palette. Yet, the firm tannins make it stand as a great wine for heavy meats. We paired this angel with a slow-cooked oxtail & vegetable stew. Damn!

Chocolate and coffee notes, semi-sour aftertaste, paired well with a lean venison entree.

Living outside during kitchen remodel wine ✌️. Always a solid choice. I’ve never had an off vintage.
