Beaujolais Nouveau Gamay

I’ve gotta say, with a bit of age, this is super fun. Fruit muted a “little”,banana, spice, medium minus tannin, hint of olive and great acid. Didn’t mean to hold it this long, but not sad about it :)

Ripe strawberry, raspberry and red cherry, bubble gum, purple flower, banana peels, juicy with some licorice note. Bright with Good acidity, med to med plus finish, med tannin. Bette than I expected.

Well...it is what it is. But it’s enjoyable with low expectations. I want to take a knife and spread this over toast.

The raspberry you expect but a bit darker, which was a good thing. As expected, drink ASAP.

The perfect wine for my Indian Butter Chicken and sautéed Swiss chard. Not at all sweet and bold enough not to be overlooked, yet not overpowering the delicate cream and spices of the meal.

Thanksgiving with Reynolds family. Perfect.

Has that Beaujolais nose. Some berry and cherry stuff. Maybe rhubarb. Flavors are also classic. Easy fruit with some nice Frenchie stuff. Fits the bill for this type of wine.

I like this year’s vintage, fruit forward, notes of strawberry and apple. Somewhere between dry and medium dry. Fun drinking.

I was truly surprised at the taste for such a young wine and now this will be my Thanksgiving Wine tradition for each year!
