Pungent, interesting wine. Crushed flowers, overly ripe plum, sour cherries, ripe raspberries, maybe bark. Astringent. Serious wine. Open this way in advance. — 3 months ago
Fully mature aglianico. — 5 months ago
Black licorice, dark berry, super structure with gentle integrated tannins. Supple. Long finish. Delicious. — 6 months ago
Surprising and unique. Much more earthy than other Taurasis I’ve tried. I think I like it. But also not sure. Need to try again. About $60. — a month ago
New-mown hay, blackberry brambles on the nose. Intensely fruit forward, but not sweet or cloying. Raspberries and blackberries. Light tannic structure, with mint and back pepper low notes, but it develops a pleasing minerality on its surprisingly long finish. I don’t know anything about this vintage, but it seems like it was grown on volcanic soils. The front reminds me of a Beaujolais Nouveau, but the finish is much more complex. A unique profile combination that I’ve never tasted before. Lovely. — 2 months ago
Big wine, with interesting flavors. Paired well with cheese. — 3 months ago
An exceptional aglianico that was a perfect pairing with a tasting menu of Tuscan and Roman food. A little VA - but not in a distracting way! — 5 months ago
Great wine with great value. Dark fruit, with balanced tannins. Really good, especially for the price. Enjoyed with a homemade bolognese. — 7 months ago
Superb. Not sure worth the price ($75) but excellent. — a month ago
Ruby color, medium plus acidity, high tannin. On the nose dark cherry and gamey notes. Taste of tart cherry, cranberry. Needs at least 60 min decant. — 2 months ago
so smoooth, so mouth coating, so rich. mmmmm — 3 months ago
Deep, dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cocoa powder, spice, prune, cherry, oak and wine cave. On the palate, medium to full body, cherry, strawberry, leather, chocolate and a long finish dominated by chocolate notes. Still exhibiting strong tannins. — 4 months ago
Beautiful wine. Will need to find more — 6 months ago
Acidic, bright, great fruit and a spicy note. Really enjoyable and good price point. Il Cappricio Friday of Thanksgiving. — 7 months ago
À very young vintage that is tasting nicely despite the tannic structure. Smoother and softer than the Taurasi aglianico wines - this wine is pairing nicely with our Italian meal. If you can find a bottle - you’ll find this a great value discovery! — 8 months ago
