Med pappa. Veldig god. — a year ago
Medium ruby in color; black cherries, raspberries, and dried herbs on the nose; medium plus acidity; medium plus tannins; tastes like cherry jolly ranchers, and sweet tabacco with a long finish. — 2 years ago
Nose is so sexy. Sexy cherries and roses. Pink and red roses hand crushed and jammed in your face. As it opens more dusty roses
Palate is sexy cherries. Pink rose internal aromatics. So juicy. A bit bitter. So good.

Insane wine. Dried cherry, spice, road tar, dried roses and that haunting alpine Nebbiolo perfume that only Arpepe seems able to deliver. The palate is nimble, precise and unbelievably balanced. Yes, there is tannin, but Arpepe processes tannin through its own lens. Everything feels refined, transparent and perfectly proportioned. The architecture is stunning. There is a slight stretch on the back end right now, but the underlying balance and purity are undeniable. Already 9.6 and just getting started. — a month ago

First take: it’s a bit muddled and flabby….lacking crisp structure. It is young so I will test on day two. Day 2.5: impressively, air has brought this one to life! Clarity and articulation are now present. The character profile is still medium+ weighted fresh red/black cherry with a delicate green herby frame. What improved - the focus and clarity of the acidity. It broadened, thus mouthfeel improved. — 4 years ago
First bottling for this Cesanese del Piglio producer, and it’s very interesting. Still young and a bit harsh on the tannins, but the style is lean and elegant. Not a typical Cesanese. Notes of Dolcetto-like dark fruit, crossed with floral Nebbiolo elements. — 6 years ago
Good value Amarone from Costco. Pop and pour approachable. Not as dense as the best Amarone but has the nice clove spiciness, fig, and dried leaves slight tannins with a pleasant finish. Surprisingly there is a hint of ripe strawberry that is a softening agent. — 9 months ago
Classic, benefited from an extended decant — a year ago
Gavi! Such reliable value. — 2 years ago

Young but very approachable and delicious, even though I popped and poured a glass. Bright and juicy cherries, bitter florals, little bit of mushroom, little bit of brandy, medium tannins. This doesn't strike me as a Barolo that can go for decades, but I know this is a renowned maker, so probably. Just really easy drinking at only 7 years of age.
