Atlas Bear

Kukeri

Atlas Peak Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Strong nose of blackberries, black plums, black cherries, light cedar, espresso, light vanilla, chocolates, light earth and tobacco.

Full-bodied with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry on the palate with black currants, black plums, cooked cherries, light cedar, earth, herbs, licorice, chocolates, black pepper, spices, black tea and light espresso.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This 5 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Atlas Peak in Napa Valley is starting to drink beautifully. Rich and nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Elegant and complex. Fruit forward and entertaining.

Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years, and showing good potential to become a 94 point wine.

Needed 90 minutes of airtime to open up properly, so be patient.

A great sipping wine that will also pair nicely with a big piece of steak.

A blend of 97% Cabernet Sauvignon with 3% Petit Verdot. Aged in (40% new) French and American Oak barrels for 15 months. A tiny production of only 900 bottles.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

Fruity nose of black currants, black plums, blackberries, vanilla, cedar, licorice, light cola, eucalyptus, chocolates, Indian spices and peppercorn.

Full-bodied and elegant with medium acidity and long legs.

Dry and fruit forward on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, raspberries, peppercorn, chocolates, spices and light oak.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and cranberries.

This young Cabernet Sauvignon from Atlas Peak in Napa Valley is already drinking beautifully. Nicely balanced with a soft mouthfeel. Elegant and rich. Fruit forward and complex.

Still young and needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly, but already enjoyable even by itself.

Needed 2 hours to open up properly, so be patient. Well worth the wait. Loved the nose once it opened up.

Tangy and interesting to drink by itself or with food. Paired nicely with my Ox tail.

A tiny production of only 6 barrels.

14.5% alcohol by volume.

The Bear Premier Series Okanagan Valley Red Blend 2016

Phenomenal. Every other year I open one of these bottles from 2016 and the evolution keeps impressing me. On the nose, has a character of rainy ancient west coast forest. On the palate, Blackberry, blueberry, with hints of dark cherry. Blended perfectly with a rich, aged, leather. Hints of cedar wood, slightly smoked. Perfectly balanced. Only going to keep getting better over the next few years. — 4 years ago

I love wine club months. Love at first taste. Very alive on the pallet, almost tingly. Cab sav essence is strong with dense dark fruit. Smokey, Spicy, elegant and complex. I will get more — 6 years ago

Columbia Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2021

This is, excuse me, a damn fine bottle of wine.

Worn leather, cigar smoke, and vanilla on the nose. Intense palate of overripe blackberry and cassis. Powerful but well integrated oak. Very long, complex finish.

Drank while watching a fan edit of Fire Walk With Me. Needs a solid decant.

2022. Vineyard: Fenaughty & Lightner
Varietal: Counoise, Cinsault, Mourvédre, Grenache, Terret Noir. Light body, but lots of flavor. No funk, minimal tannins and enough acidity to pair great with sausage pasta and bagna cauda garlic bread.
