Plum, red fruit, jammy… showing age, fully developed. Tertiary notes of cloves, black cardamom, smoke, game, leather. Surprisingly high acid. — 9 months ago
Perfectly mature and so nice. So much spice, mahogany furniture, 19th Century first editions, and complexity in the perfume. Still a fair amount of relaxed, spiced cherry fruit on the palate, with interesting leather notes. Tannins resolved, decent acids. It’s 15% listed alcohol, but it’s not poking out. — 9 months ago
Fig? Plum? Sea salt. Has the density and richness of a dessert wine, but it isn’t. Strange and good. — 4 years ago

Slightly effervescent, with dried apricots, honeysuckle.... superbly drinkable and a great accompaniment to watching YouTube videos about influencers. — 4 months ago
Earthy, natty, bright acidity and tannins, tart cherry, white pepper. Opens up quickly. Very pleasant. — 7 months ago

2021 autumn. Ample cherry and earth, but quite primary and a bit foursquare at this stage. I’d be interested to try it again in 5 or 10 years. — 4 years ago

Very good Montelpuciano especially with my veal scallopini and porcini mushrooms. Still young but very flavorful and fresh with cherry and red fruit flavors going on. Good Italian food wine at a reasonable price. — 8 days ago
