Brown ale brown tinged with red amber. Cream soda colored topping. Orange amber after the cloud break. Chunky casserole or ground beef in cartoon contrast lacing turns to logo eye dot and eyebrow. Owl last gasp and finally Punch’s nose shape. Rich scents of sassafras and nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice, sweet coffee and sweet roll. All of the aforementioned meld wonderfully on the palate, with a resonant mouth coat. This is great this year!! Excellent work. Captures the pumpkin and the season.

Peanut brittle and dark brown sugar nestle inside rye toast, brioche and a bittering savory whisper. Pleasant interplay of malt and bitter, but always with a slightly honeyed finish.

Cloudy reddish-amber pops cappuccino foam fleecily. Slippery lacing coats and rends to mustachios. Cracked pepper nose shows rye bread, malty bits and plantain. Pepper and rye conspire for dominance on the palate, aggressive posturing that leads to diplomacy amidst cigars. Notes of roasted pecan and burnt sugar. Cinnamon bark, clove and allspice all spectate, but rarely enter the fray. Lemon pepper emerges victorious.

Black with burnt umber highlights. Low and creamy head springs with bubbles combining to undercut its great form. Fireworks lacing slow falls to leopard spots. Espresso and baker’s chocolate nose boasts licorice and chicory, campfire notes and vanilla. Palate shows none of the sweet elements of the nose initially. Instead, pipe tobacco and unsweetened bitter chocolate, the chicory and burnt toast prevail; a burnt tips taste lingering. Dark gold leaning into amber with a yellow green aura around white locks. Roosters, snakes and rooster-snakes slither under curtained films and alligators backing off lacings. Sweet nose evokes white cherry and strawberry-kiwi, guava, hibiscus and pineapple, lemon, grapefruit and clementine. Less fruity palate amplifies the citrus with clementine, tangerine and kumquat in the fore and a tsunami of lemon and lemon oil reminding. Lemon grass and lemon verbena beside cannabis and sage. Unction lacings lean Hebraic but ultimately are the dream fonts writ by the hand of G-d. Mene Mene Tekel Parsin they seem to say before fluttering away as constellations on a starling’s back. Fair warning as this is a heavy purse to carry. Six years in and taking stock. Figs, dates, treacle, raisins, carob, caramel, vanilla bean, sweet potato casserole, bacon fat, mincemeat. Rich on the palate with milk chocolate, molasses, Turkish coffee, gingerbread, candied date, and espresso-tobacco finish. Gloriously integrated and complex complexions.

Red gold body with a Matisse sketched white ring and merengue peaked, sheet-lacing. Clean citrus nose exhibiting clementine and dried pineapple, Meyer lemon and a faint funky-persimmon and lotus. There is something pleasant about the naturalness of the aromatics here with dried lemon verbena and Calloway seed. Orange and tangerine eclipse the lemon on the palate and add sweet grapefruit, and a clove note that tightly binds the whole. The bitterness being mitigated by the maple was brilliant here! Makes the Dogfish 90 seem clunky in comparison. I am a fan of this manifestation. Careful crafting and a simple solution to tune aggressive hops. There is no maple flavor btw. .
