100% Spanish Syrah. Bright ruby/violet color. Aromas of black fruit with an intense floral (violet) note as well as a bit of Spanish garrigue. Flavors of black berry/cherry/currants/plum fruit, (both fresh and dried) dark chocolate, woody herbs and noticeable black pepper spice. Distinct menthol, mineral and spicy oak notes on the long lasting and very earthy/smoky finish. Slightly chewy tannins and incredibly complex. Bright well balanced acidity. 30 year old rose for my 30 year old :-). Nose is intense, port like, and it reeks of potent alcohol, caramelized sugar, and plum. Color is brick and magenta, but with obvious degradation. The nose blew off a bit and the wine reminded me of an extended skin contact orange wine. Still good acid structure. Very interesting experience. — 9 years ago

It's not everyday that I drink a 15 years old rosé. That is also in a good shape with potential to age for more years. Old school style, complex and interesting bouquet of caramel, marzipan, apricot, blood orange and fig with some cooked notes. In a blind tasting (sniffing?) I would assume that it has some relation to Madeira wine, but then you taste it and it's bone dry and not fortified. And the acidity is high. Overall, I love this wine and it was a cherry on a cake. — 5 years ago
