Juliet Chardonnay 2021

I seem to be on a recent kick exploring rarely seen and exceedingly special wines. This time, it’s “Juliet”. Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2021 “Juliet” pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose the wine is developing with matchstick for dayzzzz. There’s an abundance of fresh, ripe passion fruit, star fruit, peach, white flowers, lemon verbena, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the texture is out of this world. Incredible. Drink now through 2041. — 11 days ago

Romance Domaine de la Côte Chardonnay 2022

What a beautiful representation of a balanced Burgundian Chardonnay - from the warmer climats of Burgundy. Rich and round on the palette with stone fruit and a balanced creaminess from the oak élevage. Medium alcohol and medium+ acidity. Lacks some of the minerality of a grand cru burg. — 2 months ago

La Grande Côte Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2008

Old Sancerre, such a rarity, preserves that precision focused acidity and notes of dried lemon, dried pineapple and dried peach. Finish is refreshing. Wow. — 9 days ago

La Côte Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir

2017. Floral bouquet on the nose, punch of cherry cola. Black Forest gateau with kirsch and old leather. Herbal poultry blend on the finish. Rich and complex. Unami. — 5 months ago

La Côte des Monts Damnés Sancerre Sauvignon Blanc 2018

I've had worse! But 2017 edges this one out slightly. This 2018 is less complex, but shows pleasant flavors of green apple, melon, grass... a stiffer finish than previous vintages.
Listening to the thunder outside.
