Coto de Hayas Centenaria Garnacha 2022

pretty nice, some Spanish Garnacha can be too fruit driven & flabby, but this was decently structured - had an impressive core of fruit w/some terroir driven aromas & flavors. lacked polish leading to modest finish. good value @ $16 — 2 months ago

ruby, semi-opaque, unfurls easily w/wild strawberry & rhubarb, deeply ripe red feral fruited, spicy, vegetal, herbaceous, tomato plant - the palate has that juicy acidity running through it, med(-) body, tangy but still that wild red fruit on mid palate mingled w/earthy flavors leading to modest finish. — 3 months ago

Bodegas Volver

Single Vineyard Tempranillo 2018

Single Vineyard Tempranillo from Central Spain. Dark ruby/purple color. Aromas of ripe black fruit, tobacco, wet soil and anise seed. Flavors of cooked black cherries, currants and plums, dark cocoa powder, black olives and vanilla. Nicely integrated toasty oak on the long and plush finish. Full bodied. Extremely complex and nicely balanced. Well integrated and very smooth tannins. Bold and very well structured. Quite satisfying. Outstanding quality for the price. Great pick, Petey! — 4 months ago
