Dark ruby color, nose with accents of "Blue Stones" rather black cherry, accompanied by toasted melted notes of aging. The third dimension is driven by evolution and its many very Burgundian nuances (roasting, undergrowth, pot-pourri). Semi-light body although quite intense and concentrated, The finish is of a beautiful length, carried by fleshy and coated aging tannins.

Robe rubis sombre, nez aux accents de « Pierres Bleues » plutôt cerise noires, griotte, accompagné des notes toastées de fût fondues. La troisième dimension est portée par l’évolution et ses nombreuses nuances très bourguignonnes (torréfaction, sous-bois, pot-pourri). Nice set of four Vacqueuras 60/40 Grenache/Syrah blends from Henri Bungener at RawWine LA, represented by the Carmin Brillant here. Each of the four are the same blend but each from a different part of the Vineyard slope with different soil/geologic features. The Fruit Sauvage bottling was a 9.2 and went very well with Soft Pretzel and Sausage sampler at Tabula Rasa. — 9 years ago

Woah, reminds me why I love this region. Not the most rounded Vacqueyras I’ve had, but definitely got the smokey, rich, spicy, full body notes I love, paired with an incredibly silky mouthfeel.

Intense fruits of blackberry, raspberry, plums. Moderate to high acidity works well here with the intense jams. — 6 years ago
