Vintage 2007 | My Love always gives the same reaction after tasting a wine. This is a friend! Or not. The wine is matured in barrels under a layer of yeast (sous voile) for 6 years and three months. It has a mesmerizing smell of hazelnuts and almonds. That is... if you like it. A smell with oxidation tones, similar to eg sherry. The first sip was harsh, but it came from the fridge. After a few hours in the decanter and at 18 degrees Celsius the taste is round and harmonious. We paired it with the ultimate classic dish to combine with: Chicken (from a slow good farmer) with morels in a creamsauce and black rice. For me: heaven. For My Love? She appreciated it too and said dryly: not for novices... — 6 years ago
Very nice muscadet wine from Loroux Bottereau in Nantes, France. Made by Bregeon family. Very special taste, subtile and fresh. — 8 years ago

What a wine. Fun expressive and bright. Taste of raspberry lemon and sculpting clay. Had on Christmas Day with Beef Bourgogne but would be equally as good on a warm day with vegetables. — 6 years ago
Dried apricot and white prunes, honey, almonds/hazelnuts. Really fun. With Marco and Tim. — 7 years ago
Hints of dark cherry, some peat, elderflower and citrus. Opened a few hours early and got the full effect. Went great with corn bread and steak. — 8 years ago

I asked the guy at Wine Therapy in Soho for any random thing he was into lately for $30 and under. This gorgeous, quirky gamay was the answer. Fresh, fruity, earthy as you’d expect, but with a more rich, full body and a finish that lingers for days. Fuel for fuck-winter fire. 💅🏾☃️ — 9 years ago
