So tasty - just spot on: sexy nose of honey & beeswax, ripe red apples, lanolin, musk, and orchard fruit. Just wafty… silky on palate, great weight vibrant acidity and so honeyed w/out being cloying. Minerality & smoke, gorgeous yellow orchard fruit w/kiss of RS - I’d call Sec Tendre. — 5 years ago

Light and crisp yet smooth. Semi-sweet, maybe pear and mineral notes, very pleasant (not Chuck's favorite) — 7 months ago
Encore de la difficulté avec ce vin et avec 2012. Chambolle devrait être plus charmeur, plus tendre, alors qu’ici je trouve à la fois le vin dur et mince... c’est rare mais j’y ai trouvé des notes de café. — 5 years ago
Wish I had decanted. First glass was good, but last glass was excellent. — 5 months ago

The label also says “Le Mourre de la Caille,” but I’m not sure if that’s just a motto for the domaine or it’s a different cuvée. It’s a 70/20/10 GSM. Only 14% alcohol. The nose is invitingly fruity, with deep spicy dark berry fruit and a little of the old time Southern Rhone iodiney minerality. Mouthfilling, with deeply fruity, low-toned dark berry fruity and savory flavors. It’s ripe but not too ripe or jammy. And there’s quite a bit of soft tannin buried under the fruit-alanche. I really like this. — 20 days ago
