Château Puy Servain

Château Grand-Puy-Lacoste

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2017

It is time for my #FridayCabernetfix.

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Earthy nose with black fruits and chocolate notes.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, cooked cherries, spices, oak, licorice, dark chocolates, coffee, light vegetables, herbs and black pepper.

Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.

This is a delicious Cabernet Sauvignon from Paulliac. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel. Complex, elegant and fruit forward.

This 9 year old is peaking now, and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.

Easy drinking, and good by itself or with food.

A blend of 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Merlot. Aged in (75% new) French oak barrels for 17 months.

13.5% alcohol by volume.

92 points.

$85.

Emilien Côtes de Francs Red Bordeaux Blend 2021

The softness and integration made this so pleasurable and easy to drink. It gave me the impression of something aged but with youthfulness in the fruit. — 7 months ago

Château Grand-Puy Ducasse

Prelude a Grand-Puy Ducasse Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Second wine of classed growth Grand-Puy Ducasse. Blend 50/50 Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, has Merlot that did not make the cut for the top wine. Deep Ruby red color, with aromas of ripe dark fruits, spice and herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry, plum and cinnamon spice. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit, smoky spice and earthy mineral character. Good now! — a month ago

Ok a bit of a go-to and ok 2022 is a bit young — but excellent nonetheless — 2 months ago

Saint Guirons Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1986

Gorgeous! Incredibly fresh with youthful vigor and classic Paulliac aromatic layers and a rich and concentrated palate with grippy tannins still! This one calls for a nice juicy steak! — 5 months ago

Château Puy-Blanquet

St. Émilion Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

Really great value St Emillion, opened up after about an hour and a half and drank super well. Balanced and rich while still acidic enough to keep it from being flabby. Real nice! — a year ago
