On the nose, the wine is developing with apples, ripe passion fruit, fresh brioche, lemon curd, toasted marshmallow and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Nicely balanced with nice complexity and mouthfeel. Crisp and fresh tasting.

Would be nice to revisit it in 3 to 5 years.

A nice sipping wine that will also pair nicely food.

A blend of 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir. Disgorged in 2025.

Blend of Chardonnay (55%) and Pinot Noir (45%). Pale gold color. Aromas of freshly baked bread, toasted nuts, white flowers, citrus zest and a chalky/smoky note. Flavors of grapefruit, green apple, tropical fruits, roasted nuts, and a lovely note of brioche. Long and lingering mineral driven finish. Vibrant acidity along with wonderful tension and complexity. Creamy mousse and texture with a steady stream of fine bubbles. So beautifully savory. Pale lemon in colour - crystal clear. Probably drinking this a little young even at 7 years of age. Initial funky notes amongst the nutty notes. At 7 years the oak is assimilating with the peach. Opened sometime prior to service. The 2022 pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with slightly reductive notes of match stick, yellow apple, pineapple, a touch of butter (this is Napa after all) and flinty minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I’ve been digging the direction of this wine the last few vintages. A bit of trivia, this does not see malolactic and yet has that creamy texture and touch of butter. Lees contact? Drink now through 2037. — 4 days ago
