Skin macerated white wine that truly deserves the orange qualification when you look at its colour. The nose is interesting, it smells a bit like orange bitter meets white vin doux naturel from rivesaltes. I can smell the usual and very aromatic Muscat notes like fresh grape juice, flowers but there is a lively orange peel and orange flesh note too as well as some briochy, yeasty notes. It's quite the ride! There is a waxy thing too. The palate is broad and muscular, with quite nice patisserie notes of yeast, a bit of orange peel, some lemony notes and quite a strong acid drive, there width and matter on the sides, good tannic grip in the rear, leaving a caressing layer of disturbance all over a long finish with these orange peel and lemony notes. There a bit of a buttery, yeasty thing in the mouthfeel in the very end too that tends to stick around for a while. It's not your subtle orange wine which has been a few hours on the skins this one...
Enjoying a glass of it on the terrace, gazing at the green and majestic polish mountains in front of us, after a good day of cycling between Slovakia and Poland is a bit of blessing if you ask me! — 10 months ago
wow what a great discovery! fruity and special with Italian bruschetta. 🥰 — 3 years ago
Finally a drinkable Primitivo.
With vibrant acidity, balancing the dark sweet plums. Balanced, vibrant, juicy, avoiding the jammines, cloying sweetness and cooked chocolates fruit.
What a surprise! — 3 years ago

2009 at Consorzio in Turin. Wow. Leather and earth on the nose. Lightly tannic, black cherry/currant, peppery. Great wine. — 7 years ago
Lighter than I expected. Very fruity and flavorful, almost refreshing. — 9 years ago
The 2010 Riserva, at Farina.....yup awesome.... Dark, spicy, deep Sangio. Big of Cab, 10% just for structure. Ahh. — 10 years ago

94+ take everything you like about a great Chianti Classico and turn it up a notch or 2 but it still maintains grace and elegance. This is technically their Riserva as it was called that previously but they pulled out of the Consorzio. — 8 months ago
