Delectable doesn’t recognize the label correctly. This is the 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis 1st Cru Les Chaffots.
Just had to have this tonight as I couldn’t let Peter drink his premier cru by himself. Not sure if he was picky or had the wrong year, but this one was incredible. And hate to say it because I don’t like paying so much money for it. But ahhh it was awesome. You know it when you fight your wife for the last sip! Strong earthy undernotes but so vibrant, such bright layers of red fruit. Yum! 😋 — 2 years ago

Now this was WOTN. Blew the 2009 Chambolle Musigny, Gevrey Chambertin, Morey St Denis away. In fact I thought this was an aged Chambolle. Very charming on the nose. Floral and once again tea-like aromas with red fruit. Elegant and light. I was really surprised! — 8 years ago

Great 👃 and great on the 👅. Fruit up front smooth on the back. — 9 years ago
Outstanding effort. Enough soft fruit to make it approachable yet this will be better in a few years. This house makes pleasurable wines at a fair price. — 11 years ago
The platonic ideal of earthy black cherries. — 9 months ago

In the nose, forest floor, rose petals and dark cherries. In the mouth, bright red fruit, dried flowers, baking spices and juicy acidity. Medium long finish with slightly grippy tannins. Good QPR@ 27 dollars, however at the original price of 40 bucks, a tad overpriced.... — 8 years ago
