Disgorged Feb 2021. The first sniff is the all knowing Selosse oxidative hallmark. Multiple scents scrambling to take the lead like the horses coming out of the starting gate in the Kentucky derby. Very fresh in the mouth with spice , nuts and orchard fruit . The only reason my score is not higher was the oxidative note that grew in intensity. — 3 years ago
Aaron has produced a textbook Pinot with his Derbyshire Vineyard Pinot. It’s refined but not subtle. It’s fruit is in check. Paired with Mexican, pizza and pork chops. — 5 years ago

SVV is a limited-production winery producing estate-grown-and-bottled red wines. For more than a century, the Corkum-Derby family has been farming the area known as Spring Valley, first planting grapes in 1993, with first estate grown and bottled wine in 1999. Aromas of berry fruit with citru and pepper nose. On the is palate blackberry & raspberry flavors with oak and cracked pepper, good focus, drinks well now. Lingering finish ends on the spicy side. — 9 years ago
Had the 2016 on Derby Day 2025. Dark, rich fruits. Some chocolate with a hint of leather. Vanilla and caramel from the barrel. Very interesting wine. The artwork on the front label is absolutely fascinating. Had to do the back of the bottle to get it in this app. — a year ago
Derby Wine Estates ‘Project España Red Blend’ 2015: Full-bodied. Nice balance. Exceptional acidity. Notes of black cherry, blackberry, vanilla, oak & earth. Gentle, medium-long finish. Consisting of 57% Tempranillo, 17% Carignane, 14% Grenache & 12% Graciano, this Paso-made, Spanish red blend was rich & jammy with dark fruit brilliance; complex, multi-layered, well-structured. Opened 1 hour prior and it really made a big difference in how the wine drank. All in all, this is a great juice! Wishing everyone a fantastic week! Cheers🍷 — 4 years ago

Discovered this in a bar in Derby and been loving it since. Really smooth and tasty. — 8 years ago
Delicious. Dark, rich berries and sumptuous earth greet both nose and palette. A bit of wet wood funk and tobacco and sage are also around the edges. The finish is long and smooth, with the tannins checking in at feather soft. A beautiful wine from one of my favorite Paso producers. — 8 years ago
Cabernet Franc dominant. Dusty red fruits, vanilla beans and cedar wood flavors...still powerful and mighty present on the palate. Old world style meets Paso Robles fruit in this bottle. My favorite vintage of this wine so far. 75% new French oak. 15.2 % ABV. — 9 years ago
Solid weeknight wine. Crunchy red fruit, vanilla, pepper, fruit cup. Solid. — a year ago

Crisp acidity, great tart mouthfeel with refreshing Cranberry, watermelon and red apple flavors. A Mataro dominant kitchen sink rose for this vintage. The Mataro was directly pressed, while everything else went through the saignee process. 13% ABV. — 9 years ago
