Most of the initial, fruit driven nose and palate has morphed into something darker, more graphite and pepper with that inimitable Viognier lift on the finish. The texture is very, very nice. Beautiful color, fine bubbles, fine mousse, but there’s this kind of weird oaky or brioche toasty Aroma that I don’t really like so it’s either barrels that were too toasted or too much lees battonnage and distracts from the wine and makes you realize it’s not a champagne. other than that pretty tasty — 9 months ago
