Still high acid, but fruit is sort of smoothing out and giving way to more nutty and saline characteristics.

Still mineral driven but edging closer to saline than stoney.

Green orchard fruits are still the backbone in terms of fruit. But way more on the savory side at this point.

Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as a weeknight Barbaresco. Textbook Nebbiolo nose shows spiced cherry, orange peel, leather, dry gravel. Intense but soft and tautly-balanced in the mouth. Nice acids and soft tannins completely smothered in cherry fruit and savory minerality. Ridiculous value. — a year ago
