Enjoying the 2014 after experiencing while in Carcassonne. It is rich and lush. Dark fruit flavors with a long finish. — 9 years ago
Truly a very enjoyable wine. Medium body and easy to drink. I will buy again. — 10 years ago
Nice light red not too dry — 10 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2022 “Le Cros Martin” (which is a lieu dit that sits just below Champans) pours a deep ruby color with a translucent core; medium viscosity with no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with beautiful notes of strawberry, raspberry, red flowers, sous bois, gentle cool and warm spices and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. A lovely Volnay from a Pommard producer I had not tried before. Drink now through 2037. — 7 months ago
Notes of pear and apricot, with hints of oak but not much. I loved this for a night of tapas with friends. — a year ago
Gourmet south wine. Original modern blend, with mediterranean grapes: Touriga national, Nebbiolo, Grenache, very easy to drink, built on cherry and blackcurrant. Medium to medium plus bodied and beautiful freshness.
Vin gourmand du Sud. Mélange moderne original, avec des cépages méditerranéens: Touriga national, Nebbiolo, Grenache, très facile à boire, sur la cerise et le cassis. Moyen à moyen plus et belle fraîcheur. — 5 years ago
2016 j'ai adoré léger et pleins d'aromes. Comparable à un Pessac Leognan pour moi. — 8 years ago

Great for dinner or just to have a glass on the couch with a movie. I would honestly take this basically any time I want a glass of red. Full bodied, on the dry side, and not too sweet/juicy. — 10 years ago

2023 vintage. A collaboration between 2 wine estates from 2 different wine regions in the Southwest of France. A blend of Négrette ( Domaine du Cros, Marcillac) and Fer Servadou ( Domaine Le Roc, Fronton). Uncomplicated pleasure, combining roses, spices and red cherries. Very good value. Abv. 12,5%. — 10 months ago
Henri et Georges Jayer Echezeaux 1998. Vines owned by Henri’s brother Georges. 2X with this wine. Richer and fuller in body(than the Jayer Cros Parantoux 1998 drunk alongside) and became silkier, more savory, and more elegant with time in decanter. Arguably not at apogee, although drinking fantastically now. — 5 years ago
Balanced and good grip. Clearly getting there. Might last another year or two but won’t improve beyond that. — 8 years ago
This sweet Bordeaux pushes all the right buttons for a wine style that wants to be known as “more than dessert.” The rich golden hue beckons, while the nose of candied fruit is draped in a cloak of minerality. The palate certainly wants to be more than an after-dinner afterthought. The viscous mouthfeel, bracing acidity and mineral-driven flavor profile form a trio unlikely to be caught traveling together in most sweet wines. These have been doing it for centuries. — 9 years ago
The value wines. £10, delivering loads of up front spice and great for bbq or even a rich bourguignon. — 10 years ago
