Tried ‘14 & ‘15 together. The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. Caparzo is owned by Elisabetta Gnudi Angelini, she also owns Altesino. Deep Ruby with berry fruit aromas with cedar, herbs and smoke, aged for 2 years on oak. On the palate cherry, plum & cranberry flavors, with leather, cacao, spice and tobacco notes. Lively acidity, fine approachable tannins, long ending with spicy oak finish. ‘15 a bit better! — 6 years ago

The name of the estate comes from "Ca' Pazzo", shown on ancient maps. The estate covers an area of 190 hectares, 54 which are vineyards, 4 are olive groves, 87 which are wooded and 45 are to be planted with new vines. Vivid deep Ruby with a berry fruit bouquet and hints of orange zest. On the palate blackberry & cherry flavors, big and powerful, with leather, cacao and pepper spice. Starting to soften nicely, has energetic acidity and muscular tannins, lingering ending with oak finish. Tasting Sample. — 10 years ago

Reminiscent of a nice Bordeaux like Clerc Milon. Beautiful cedar notes on the nose and in the glass. Fully integrated tannins with nice complexity. Worth a try from all of you francophones!!! — 4 years ago
