GOSH this blend of Roussanne, Clairette and Grenache Blanc makes for a poised, silky and aromatic but elegant bottle I’d imagine paying twice as much for. The nose promises stone fruit and incense adventure, while the palate is cozy, adding warming spice, lanolin and honeydew melon, along side hints of wet stone to keep it all fresh. Still working on a case. Showing as good as I’ve seen in a while. Quite delicious funkiness — 6 months ago
— 2 years ago
This is a very good value for a classic GSM Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Well balanced, with good acidity, plush tannins and bright red (strawberry, red currant) and black fruit (blackberry, black cherry). There is already a welcome note of garrigue (wild thyme and lavender) and a hint of leather. What prevents it from scoring higher is a medium finish from toned-down intensity. For that added level you need to go for the top-tier (and excellent) Les Cailloux! — 2 years ago
Blend of 70% Grenache, 17% Mourvèdre, 10% Syrah & 3% Cinsault, deep Ruby color with aromas of berry fruits, oak and floral spice. On the palate flavors of black cherry and blackberry with oak, herb spice and floral notes. Wine was complex and elegant with fine smooth tannins, long fruit and spicy finish. Very Nice! — 7 months ago

K&L notes, The flagship wine from Gardine, the Gaston-Philippe is named for Gaston and Philippe Brunel. The wine is equal parts Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre aged in new barrique. Composed of the oldest vines from the estate, they range between 60-90+ years of age. A benchmark wine from a benchmark producer! — 5 years ago
