Seemingly more youthful than the notes on my last bottle, about 20 months ago, would suggest. A fair amount of bricking at the rim, but the nose shows a nice integration of dark macerated cherry, Provençal herbs, iodiney minerals, and sun-baked earth. In the mouth, the tannins are there but resolving. Decent concentration, and sneaky acidity lifts it up a bit. Nice! — 8 months ago

‘Dry Red Wine’ it says on the back. Great! Heavy bottle. Must be a wine to age. Hope 4 years is enough. Hints of pie cherry and mineral water on the nose. Also rocks. Wet and dry rocks. It smells good. Balanced and inviting. Flavors are lovely. Dried herbs, tart berries, smoked blood oranges?, wild thyme? Lots of stuff. Clean and smooth. Tannins are nice. Dry but not drying. It’s a very nice Classico. Hit the spot with the classic spaghetti marinara too. — 6 years ago

Hubby had this one without me (!!). A cheap Italian blend for $13 but its quite delicious and complex. Interesting cider donut spice with cocoa and vanilla but also some basil and nutmeg. It’s a wild ride. Jealous that I missed it. — 5 months ago
