Super dry with mixed pepper, minerals, and herbs — 2 months ago
Compared to our previous bottle, this second of 3 bottles is drinking really nicely. I’m thinking it’s probably near peak at 13 years. Second day after opening (wine fridge with a vacuum cork stopper) its lovely, fragrant dark cherry, lithe bramble fruit nose, reminds me of Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir aromatically. Delicious tartness on palate, not a ton of weight as this is a lower-extract style and tannins have been fully tamed on the finish.#riojagranreserva — 7 months ago
2016 vintage. Decanted with zero sed. Tasted after 20 minutes. In a great place (as are a majority of the 2016 Brunellos). Synthesis of tannins, fruit, verve and love. Dropped some of the overt body and starting to get chiseled. Watch out for those abs. 08.03.25. — 21 days ago
This was singing last night. Nice nose of mature cherries and spice box. Mid palate displays density and weight. Packed with ripe cherries and a hint of tobacco, complemented with a moderate tannin structure. Oak treatment was in the background. Finished with length and a hint of soft brown sugar. Acidity is still prominent so I assume you could continue to hold this for another 7 years with ease. — 6 months ago
Green apple, pinch of mint, tobacco, cherries in aroma. Ripe plums, pinch of lime and strawberries at palate. Acidity is moderate to high, well balanced, not rounded, but feels like nice matured. Very noble as for rosso di montalcino. Nice to accomplish with red meat. — 15 days ago
Tastes better and more expensive than your average prosecco — 3 months ago

Fire! The perfect combination of pinot noir and Bordeaux profiles! Love the spices on the nose and palate. — a day ago
