Raspberry jam on nose with darker fruits on pallet and a balanced finish. β 7 years ago
Bordeaux style red blend that includes Merlot, (76%), Cabernet Sauvignon (12%), Cabernet Franc (3%), Malbec (2%) and Petite Verdot (7%). Dark purple/black color. Aromas of dark fruit, dried rose petals, lavender and wet stones. Flavors of black cherry, blueberry, black plums, coffee, dark (bitter) chocolate, vanilla and roasted herbs. Long (but slightly bitter) finish, creamy texture and fine grained tannins. Nice oak integration with a solid punch of acidity. Fruit forward, plush and opulent. Thanks for sharing this bottle, Ron B! β a year ago
Peach, mango, full body balanced by bright acidity. Not a lot getting in the way here. β 4 years ago

This falls squarely into the category of rando bottles in the cellar that just need to be opened and shared. Particularly since I have no history with this label (though I am quite familiar with Goldschmidtβs wine making). Popped and poured. It smells quite fresh and rather inviting for being 14 years young. On the palate, it was very enjoyable and obviously Cabernet Sauvignon with loads of cassis, tobacco and some very distinctive green bell pepper. The tannins have mostly resolved themselves and thereβs a really nice texture to this. The finish is long and satisfying. Quite good! But Iβm not so sure itβs very a distinctive wine with all that being said. Upon some research, I guess this is the top label from his portfolio of wines and frankly, I think it tastes like it certainly has the care to warrant that title. However, for the price these bottles retail for these days, not a very compelling QPR. β 7 years ago

More structure and tannin than stagecoach. β 6 years ago
12/26 very good, the bottle from Megβs mystery friend from her girls party. Would not pay 4x Goldschmidt though! β 6 years ago
Dark fruit and tobacco on nose, would swear itβs a cab based on the nose. Soft fruit with a nice tannic backbone. β 7 years ago

Loads of complexity to this Cab. Red and black berries with a nice mouthfeel. Tannins soften after a good decant. β 4 months ago
