Bill's in town, so why not kill a Sami-Odi??? He opened the Greenock Creek 02 Seven Acre, so why not this one? This wine has an intoxicating nose like the Sami-Odi Hoffman 0.534 Syrah consumed a few months before. This is definitely a "little wine" to this HD Syrah. Displaying just as much lusciousness in the nose. One person said "I don't know what this is, but I can smell this in the glass for the rest of the night and I would be satisfied." Mission accomplished! The entry is dark, black fruit and a ton of it. Dark, black, condense, full bodied, although the finish seems to be a bit shorter than the Hoffman Dallwitz. Multi-vintage wine of 2012, 15, 16, 17 Syrah. Delicious. Still has 10 years left. — 8 years ago

Kirsch, spice, cedar, vanilla on the nose. Palate shows concentrated kirsch and underripe blackberry with cedar and eucalyptus/sage. A revisit of the vanilla and caramel. I think this would be better in another 3-5 years. — 9 years ago

Unbelievable!!! A Cabernet that only can express it selves like this in Barossa Valley. Basically a Shiraz “wanna be”. So expressive, so rich, but fresh and focused grounded by a solid vibrant, mineral backbone. There are warm, Mediterranean spices filtering through this fresh dark fruit. Deep Ruby in colour - very dark for a 15 year old red with no bricking at this stage. Blackberry and chocolate with ripe black fruits on nose and palate - not as pruney as previous Stonewell notes. Lush and full bodied from selected old vine Shiraz vineyards in the Barossa - in the Greenock district amongst others. This is Barossa Shiraz at its best from a good vintage. Hard not to like - warm and comforting - perfect for a cooler night with pork chops. — 5 years ago
