Light in colour with green-silver shine.
Nice reduction in the nose with toasted sesame, salty popcorn, ripe yellow peach and exotic fruit + a whiff of herbs. Fresh & juicy.
On the palate this is nicely rounded with layers of fresh peaches & pineapple and salty, mineral notes.
This has nice depth & complexity yet remains elegant & is (already) drinking beautifully. But I’ll stock up & see how it evolves.
Südsteiermark is becoming my go-to destination for Chardonnay, next to southern Baden & Pfalz (Burgundy becoming too expensive) — 5 years ago

Really good lean cooler, let it decent a bit to unwind and open up. I have no idea why it’s rated so low. You have to be down with a wine that isn’t only fruit. — 7 years ago
2011 is about the most solid Blaufrankish you can drink, excellent offering by Velich and Schuster under Moric. Their motto is “Fruit ferments. People ferment fruit. It’s a challenge.” 2011 is fresh black cherry, a funky acid core, with an after taste that lasts a weekend. Buy it all, it will last a decade and provide solid street cred with your wine snob friends. — 7 years ago

Slight funk on the nose with hints of mushrooms. Leathery with slight acid to finish. Not much tannins so really good with light beef dishes (carpaccio and Tartarus, etc…). Good wine to have for dinner parties. — 5 years ago
I called this a ripe vintage of Puligny-Montrachet in a blind. Elegant citrus, white peach, spice, and stone. Oak in check. — 6 years ago
This is your #riesling if you’re not a fan of the petrol / diesel notes, once this has had a chance to breathe a bit. While I don’t mind those, this is a nice alternative terroir expression - subtle floral and peach notes on nose. @Kurt Schuster is spot on with the crystalline descriptor. The palate is more about the luscious fruit texture backed by sturdy acidity and a touch of RS rather than a lot of complexity. Where else can you get #grandcru #alsaceriesling other than #costco for ~$18? — 3 years ago
Funky funky tastes like dill — tasted with grace , Alisa, Shuvam, Hannes and Alisa - 12/30/21 — 4 years ago
Just under a 9.0 because Zweigelt is not my favorite varietal. That said, this is the best of many Zweigelts in the CHF 20 price range that I have tried. Nice depth compared to many others. Kind of like, when in Austria, I would totally order this wine at a restaurant! — 6 years ago
Decent for the money. Good value buy. Rather robust style. — 6 years ago

Fantastic blended wine with Zweigelt, Blaufrankish and Syrah and some Merlot.
Lush and long, pepper and sweet, spicy and dark fruit. — 2 months ago
