Although it’s rated very dry, it has a very delightful sweetness to its strong taste. Awesome Shiraz. — 5 years ago

Zinfandel and Carignan from a 123-year-old vineyard in Santa Clara County in the foothills on the way to Santa Cruz, super juicy and spicy, great depth and length, still super youthful, lovely. To be released 10/28/25. — 9 months ago
My last bottle of this vintage and I was concerned that it might be corked. But to my pleasant surprise it was very nice for a 17 year old Petite Sirah. A little smoky at first but then it opened up and was delicious. Retained primary fruit on the pallet but not on the nose. Very light tannins with small amounts of sediment in the glass but quite a bit on the bottle neck. Paired perfectly with rotisserie lamb. — 3 years ago
For the price, the best Cab around. Silky smooth, soft tannins, low to medium acidity. Garnet and clear. For the vintage you would expect it to taste young but it is ready to drink. Cassis, blackberry, dark cherry. Medium finish, medium viscosity. Will only get better with time. — 6 years ago

Decanted 30 minutes. Expressive nose of dark berries. Air time added a smooth mouthfeel. Luscious medium to long finish. Drinking very well now. — 6 years ago
From the oldest vineyard in Oakville near Harlan, 14 different grapes in a field blend, very aromatic and pretty, juicy red and dark fruited, long finish, very nice!! To be released 10/28/25.. — 9 months ago
I’m getting citrus and fruity notes from this one. I am surprised I like this. It has a light body and is easy to drink. Yay — 2 years ago
Prob didn’t need to have this btl at the end of the night, but it had a great, sweet richness. Lots of vanilla bean, soft chocolate finesse. What a treat - especially after having a 2017 Imposter early in the nite! Thx Jeff Cohn. — 5 years ago
Really enjoy as an alternative to Hahn! — 6 years ago
Needs some air and likely time in the bottle. Rustic with obvious Napa qualities. Nose is pretty with flowers, dark fruits, berries, bark. Palate is more vanilla and barrel than the nose tells. I’d like to revisit in a year or two. My guess is this is just too young and not completely integrated. Very lovely despite that. — 6 years ago
Drank 2/21/20. Tasting event. Tasting pour.
An early drinking, more ripe style. Black cherry, black currant, magic marker, earth and a touch of underbrush on the bouquet. Black fruit and a hint of pepper on the nose well integrated tannins, full body, long finish.
