Was missing something. Maybe some verve? — 17 days ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2022 “Swan Clone” pours a pale garnet color with a transparent core, medium viscosity and no staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful with mostly tart red fruits: strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, herbs and underbrush along with some warm spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. Lean and fresh, this needs quite a bit of time to flesh out. Drink now with sights set towards the future but this will be better after 2027 and through 2042. Only 75 cases made. — 10 months ago
Wow, haven't had this in a while, but it didn't disappoint. — 4 months ago
Perhaps too young at 9? Cranberry almost orange creamsicle like nose with thicker jammy body notes of licorice all throughout and a sharp finish — 2 years ago

From an old Russian River vineyard planted in 1910, checking in at 12.5% ABV, this is a remarkable old-vine Mourvèdre that shows tree bark, redfruits, and amazing freshness and acidity given its 28 years old, great complexity and length, I can’t remember the production level, but guessing at most 100 or so cases, simply another great wine made by Rod Berglund at Swan!! — 21 days ago
