2008 vintage. Decanted for an hour before tasting. Didn't even know WS was in the Central Coast game in this area at this time period. Beyond decent earthiness. Light-medium body. Hint of menthol. Could successfully stroll out and about distinctively for another 3-4 years. — 3 years ago
2008 WS wine of the year. Finally time to open with steaks. Great wine from the first sip — 5 years ago
Fresh salmon, pasta and a spinach salad. Life is good with this WS Pinot! — 3 months ago
WS: 93. Baked cherry, raspberry ganache and warm fig flavors are ripe and expressive, with a pleasing counterpoint and added detail from rich notes of loamy earth and leather, plus accents of bay leaf, vanilla and red licorice. There's a supple generosity on the palate, trimmed nicely by fine-grained tannins and a tang of orange peel acidity. Tempranillo and Garnacha. Drink now through 2032. 35,000 cases made, 9,000 cases imported.

Happy Heavenly Birthday Sofia! Love & Miss You Like Air! 😇 All Souls Day as well.
Williams Selyem if not her favorite producer, one of her top two.
I don’t believe I have opened a bad bottle of this producer, not even corked. I guess it’s because I wait ten yrs or longer to open. These shine later in their evolution.
Nose of; red & slightly candied florals, strawberries, dark cherries blackberries, raspberries and haunting blueberries. Lightly grilled meats, cola, sandalwood, baking spices and very soft herbaceous notes.
This in typical WS fashion shows ripe & lush; slightly sour, dark cherries, blackberries, plum, poached strawberries, raspberries, pomegranate and circling blueberries. Excellent mid, dark spices, clove, some nutmeg, cinnamon & vanillin, light dryish tobacco, lightly grilled, smoked meats, dry crushed rocks, limestone marl, dry river stone, underbrush, mix of some fresh but mostly dry herbs, eucalyptus/mint, fresh to withering dark, red flowers framed in liquid violets, near perfect acidity with a well balanced, nicely structured, good tensioned finish that lasts nearly two-minutes and lands on spice & dry earthiness. — 5 months ago

I get it why cellaring the WS wines much longer will result in a more complex wine. We buy their wines every year but have not been able to cellar them for 10 years + and we enjoy them now.
Paired perfectly well with grilled salmon and a salad. — 10 days ago
