— 7 years ago
Great wine - remind me of Austrian reds from blaufrankish by gut oggau - same tension and density. — 7 years ago
Funky. Not every night easy drinking. But yummy. — 7 years ago

Barbera 2002. Nose: Cherry, moss. Taste: ripe cherry, earthy funk almost. I don’t think I’ve ever tasted anything like this but I really enjoyed. I feel like through the earthiness you can really taste the age of the wine. Overall really enjoyed and curious about trying more barbera. — 4 months ago
Yep. Yep. Yepppp. Opens like a barnyard door then settles into all sorts of mouthwatering notes that range from herbaceous, fruity, earthy and cherry cola notes. Mineral? Yeah. Acid? Just enough. Balanced. — 4 years ago
Vej is not subtle about its affiliation with Orange. This sees a full 90 days of skin contact and reminds me of an equally polarizing wine - Ageno from La Stoppa. I believe they are both made from the same unique grape (unique from Malvasia at that).
If you like orange, if you like juicy hazy IPAs, if you like huge tannin, you’ll love Vej. Beautiful copper gold. Aromas of yeasty peach skin and spiced apricot. Bitter grapefruit and biscuit. — 7 years ago
Funky and fun! Really opened up after the first hour next round I would decant — 7 years ago
Dax för anno 2016 och det finns ju verkligen ingenting att klaga på. Bara att stoppa i truten. Upprepa ad infinitum. Winetrade. — 8 years ago
Lucious, leather, smoke behind bold fruit with an earthy finish — 11 years ago
If you can get your hands on one do so. Immediately.
Don't even ask for the price. Just drink it. — 5 months ago
Been looking forward to trying this Chilean project from the people at La Stoppa for some time; happy to report that despite being a bit brusk, this vino tinto delivers on the combination of high toned density of La Stoppa rossos and smokiness of old vine pais. — 7 years ago
Barbera & Bonarda blend from an Emilia Romagno maker. I love this style- gave a good 45+ min decant. Imagine the Bonarda offsets the Barbera fruitiness. Keeps a taut line btw vegetal acidity & that earthy fruitiness. Natural maker of some serious orange wines. 13% alcohol. Didn’t hurt that we drank at sunset, on the Hudson River at home. — 7 years ago

2000. From experimental plantings of GSM in 1990, torn out right after bottling. What a shame. — 11 years ago
