Complex SB from NZ. Cucumber veggie notes with minerality such as flint etc — 9 months ago
The first bottle right after receiving this lot felt a little overblown and pruny. So glad I waited a while before opening a second one. This is now well put together and putting across the notes I expect out of old vine field blend California coast; chocolate, coffee, cool climate lift right on top of intensity. — 5 years ago
Light almost effervescent when poured — 6 years ago
Best Shiraz I've had yet from Austalia. Fantastic. — 6 years ago
This is very good bargain in the $25 range. This and the J Lohr Hilltop are favorites in this price range. — 7 years ago

Quite nice with air fryer salmon, rice pilaf & broccoli. Fruity with herbaceous notes and a smooth finish.. — a month ago
Opened for my 80th birthday. Wow, at its peak, deep cherry colour, fresh, vibrant, complex with amazing depth and flavours, a long aftertaste. So tasty. — 6 months ago

Totally love Gimblett Gravels Reds & this is one of them. Beautiful array of dark berry fruits, dark chocolate, a spec of bakery spices, a dash of savoury goodness and fresh silky tannins. — 6 years ago
A bit boozy but good clarity and detail. — 7 years ago
Medium body. Medium tannins. Smooth easy-drinking, food-friendly. Smells like dark cherries and orange peelings. Hints of spice and smoke. — 8 years ago
#pinotgris from #nzwine #martinborough okay overpriced but still lovely and textural. Lots of ripe Granny Smith and green water pears in the nose and palate. Also a bit flinty (screwcap) lemon rind, honey, ripe pineapple...my God as I’m writing this tasting note I’m liking it more and more. Has some Rieslingesque qualities and just a pinch of sweet ripe fruit on the finish — 6 years ago
So bloody good. Great nose with citrus, passion fruit,... Nice full body. Buttery. 12m of wood. Long finish. — 7 years ago
My favourite Pet Nat to date !! But what would I expect from BK Wines ... nose could almost be Apple strudel with custard ... crunch apple . Quite big bubbles , but long and very good — 7 years ago

From Hawke’s Bay! A gem of a north island region I taste so many winners from. The nose is reductive struck match with sea spray and lemon rind. The palate is enviably smooth and crisp as I wish my sheets to be. Oak lily’s with vanilla bean joining tart lemon curd and honeydew. The right balance between luxury china and clean white plates why am I referencing so many housewares in this review — 25 days ago
