Though only aged for 4 months in stainless still tank, it spent 6 years in the bottle (in screw cap) before release.
Mix of stone fruits and citrus fruits on the nose with the white floral and hint of honeysuckles. Lively yet delicate on the palate. Fruits are intact; the acidity has rounded - that’s about the only sign on bottle aging I could detect.

Popped and poured. While unusual, somewhat on-brand for Matteo Correggia, the 2010 “Le Marne Grigie” is a micro-production Bordeaux-blend (with a splash of Syrah) from Roero. The wine pours a deep ruby color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. No obvious signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is vinous but still showing abundant ripe fruit: currants, plums, tobacco, bell pepper, some purple flowers, organic earth and baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+(?) acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. Surprisingly youthful! Though this is certainly a bit left field, it retains it’s old world sensibilities. A fun wine to try if you can ever find it. Drink now and through 2030. — 2 years ago
Pale garnet color.
Aromas of red cherry, tar, cedar greenery.
Dry. Flavors of red cherry, tar, floral, orange zest. Firm tannins are lower than expected, but balanced. Great acidity.

Really really nice Dolcetto. Clean, light, well balanced. Fresh red fruits with that classic bitter almond note on the finish. — 2 years ago
Wow! Porcini mushrooms and manure on the nose. Tanic, needs some time to open up. Sourdough flavor the mouth. With homemade pesto pasta! — 5 years ago

Medium ruby with a narrow garnet rim . Touch more dense , slightly high toned nose , deeper and darker, riper fruits , touch smoky , dark cherry , liquorice. On the palate this is quite dense and tannic , with balanced acidity . Darker , deeper fruits, with blackberry , red plum and dark cherry , liquorice hints . Good length with menthol hint . Needs time still another 3-4 years and will last well a further 5-10 years . A denser , meaty and darker style , — 5 months ago
