Ripe exotic nose with pineapple, yellow pear, guava, but also a stony undertone.
On the palate with nice breadth but also fresh acidity. Juicy, ripe yellow fruit with a cool herby finish. Nice energy & length.
Nice blend that falls not far stylistically from southern Burgundy but does not become a caricature.

A Mencia from Bierzo made by an Argentine vintner that tastes more like a Californian Cab Franc. And it’s delicious. Concentrated and a cool blue tone, though all blackberries & cassis notes. Some moderate funk that fades with air, seamless tannins. Not your typical Bierzo either,so the whole package is fascinating. And, under 19$… — 3 years ago
N closed a bit.
P juicy. Early season cherry. A bit acidic. Crunchy. Tannic a bit.

Indubitably expensive but incontestably excellent. An elegant and smooth Malbec. Deep, dark rich flavors. — 2 years ago
Red fruit driven, expressive, some tension, good acid and length.. — 3 years ago
one of the more impressive wines i've had from ARG - deep dark golden color, looked slightly oxidized, and a bouquet that vacillated from honeyed florals, to mineral, to exotic perfumed spice, musky, brooding, ripe citrus then orchard fruit - just so multi-layered & oh so engaging, the palate was a bit more focused - solid mid weight w/firm acidic backbone leading to lingering tangy salty finish. can't recall having a Chenin like this - felt like extended skin contact and long lees treatment. — 2 months ago
Major flower power. Bet strong but smooth — 3 years ago
Red currant, black pepper, green chiles, graphite. Approaches Chinon on it's complexity, but more fruit and New World spice. Lengthy, smooth finish. I honestly have only had a handful of Cab Francs in my life, but this compares very favorably. — 5 years ago
