Joseph Phelps Vineyards

Insignia Estate Grown Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1997

Earthy and not giving away much initially, was worried after 20 mins. By 30 it blossomed, full on cassis and vanilla tannins, undergrowth. Dark red fruit, Rutherford dust. Notwithstanding a Bordeaux vibe there was no mistaking this for anything but a high-end Napa cab. Awesome one at that. I wouldn’t wait much longer… — 10 months ago

Opus One

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1995

Grand vin, couches d’arômes au nez, bouche texturée, fine, puissante, veloutée et équilibrée, d’une longueur impressionnante, très grande bouteille. 96-97

Amazing bottle, great wine, it has it all, balance and finesse, power and elegance, awesome texture and mouth feel. The length is impressive sive. Wow, amazing.

St. Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2014

Awesome… goes with anything possible to eat ;-). Exceptional balance between nose and taste and very classic saint emilion taste. Toi bad we only had two bottles — a year ago

Château Latour

Premier Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 1961

Deep scarlet color, almost opaque. Sweet fruit nose. Notes of red and black fruit, spice, some wood and moist dark earth. Has great complexity in the mouth. Awesome juice, but this bottle of the 61 did not reach the superlative heights of others we've had of this. — 2 years ago
