Spent some time talking with winemaker Mikael Sigouin and got an awesome crash course in Grenache. Thanks for an awesome experience! — 10 years ago
Insane nose of blueberry, blackberry, garrigue, lavender and pastille. The aromatics alone are nearly perfect. The palate is darker and more structured than the 2023, with higher acidity, tremendous density, freshness and a strong granitic character. Slightly behind the 2023, but still phenomenal. — 14 days ago

Comparing a couple 2011 Loire Cab Francs this weekend. This offering, brought home from Paris in December, is incredibly lively and bright for a 9 year old wine. Bright and juicy with tons of varietal fruit character. Great acid. Sub €30 I think and is something I wish I had a case of. Perfect every day drinker (amazing to say that about a 2011) - not incredibly complex but incredibly delicious. Enjoyed standing around the kitchen waiting for homemade pizza to come out of the oven (margarita and sausage/mushroom pies). — 6 years ago
Perfect snow wine. Deep, dark, brooding and continually unfolding. Deep black and green olive, lavender, feral, meaty, and wildly floral. Blackberry. Palate is so generous and has unreal purity and palate presence. Silky, sweet fruit that is so pure. Ripe and deep with much energy and depth. Needs air but this an epic wine. — 5 months ago

A true summer gulper. This nattie Gamay (AOC Touraine) is super bright and fruity (thank you limestone). A little kid-friendly petting zoo note. Low alcohol and crisp acids nicely balance the bright fruit. Great red to have with a little chill on this wiltingly hot night. — a day ago
