Crisp. No longer. Nice Prosecco — 3 years ago
@Delectable Wine: This is the Majolini 1981 Franciacorta Brut. I didn’t see it in the database.
My knowledge base around Franciacorta is minimal, so when seeing this available, I jumped on it.
2016 vintage. 90/10 chard/Pinot. 3yrs on the lees. I still haven’t found a perfect correlation between bubble size and region, but this was another case where the bubbles were slightly larger than most champagnes. Bright with great texture. Comes across as a nice US Cali sparkler…not much yeast, but plenty of ripe yellow fruit, honeycomb, and an airy sea breeze type flair. While not powerful or complex sparkler, it’s not a simple one either. Worked well with ceviche and arancini. — 4 years ago

Peter Sultan
80/20 of Pinot Nero & Chardonnay, Methode ancestrale w disgorgement 3/24. Alot of wine-strong yellow fruit, hazelnut notes, for about 25$. Paired w a cheese platter w true Serrano ham, & which included Garda, an alpine cheese from Lombardy & a heavenly match was born. — a month ago
