Aromas and flavors of yellow apples/pears, lemon, white flowers, raw almonds and a touch of wet limestone. Nice touch of saline on the long and lingering finish. Lovely creamy texture. Welcome Ciliegiolo from Umbria- a unicorn varietal. Dark crimson color, crushed red fruits & cassis on nose; on palate medium plus acidity, medium body, a gorgeous texture- fine grained tannins, so some grip. Blackberries & black currant fruit. Really, really good. — 5 years ago
