Sparse notes; very well presented. Young and tannic. Tart cherries transition to barrel toast and prominent tannins. Better in 2-3 years, but quaffable now with air exposure.

Thursday night and the wine of choice us another Sauvignon Blanc but Old World, the 2017 Régis Minet Pouilly-Fumé Vielles Vignes.
The nose brings nice notes of lime, green apple, pear, white peach, musk melon and good minerality.
The palate shows very nice lime, passionfruit, pear, herbs, lemongrass, mineral and wet slate.
This wine medium bodied with medium to medium + acidity that moves right into a clean long mineral, citrus finish that sits on the mid-palate pleasingly. One more day until the start of the weekend stay safe and we will be enjoying the weekend soon. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 7 years ago
Lovely Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire with salmon. Fruity, medium weight, brightly structured. Perfect harmony of nose, flavors and finish. ($30) — 7 months ago

Rene Bouvier, Cote de Nuits-Villages, 2020 vintage. I haven't come across many solid village Burgundy. This is one of them. Punching way above its weight. Nose of blueberries, blackberries, white flower, but also noticed some secondary characteristics of animal skin and mineral notes right away. Mouthwatering. On palate, medium plus weight, dry, fruits and minerals. Long finish, with aftertaste that you get from drinking mineral water. Popped and poured then decant the rest. Half hour of decant seemed to have done the trick. Can be enjoyed now, or keep in cellar for a year or two. — 2 years ago
Bought at wine store near hotel in Paris fall ‘19. Quite dry, tobacco, black fruit but juicy and elegant/lingering. Light-ish acidity, dark / thin red ruby color. — 7 years ago
A rather decent Gevrey-Chambertin drinking very well young @ £38 - Fab for the money 👍
