Still stellar. Tasted with the living legend Joel Pedersen himself and the team thinks Ravenswood winery crew. — 4 months ago

WOTN — This seems very youthful, with that awesome minty-spicy quality of the Dickerson (Napa) vineyard, more tight and structured and complex than the 1988 Old Hill, really amazing for a so-so Zinfandel vintage, kudos to Joel Peterson again!! — 2 months ago

Darkest color of all the Zins, from a so-so vintage, rich fruit that is somewhat fat and not completely distinctive, fresh and youthful (from my friend John’s super cold cellar), longish and complex finish, kudos to Joel Peterson for the freshness and absolute quality of these two 1988 Ravenswood Zins!! — 2 months ago
From Joel’s cellar offering a year or so ago. Outstanding freshness and vigor in this one. Light in color as most of the pigment had pasted itself on the sides of the bottle. Deep nose of plum/Healdsburg prune and cedar. Comes across as both primary and tertiary at the same time. Firm acidity with gripping tannins. — 3 years ago
