Fabrizio Iulli Rossore a Barbera masterpiece. 21-28 days maceration and 24 months maturation in large casks. Impressive fruit concentration in high def resolution, ripe but very vibrant red fruit that is flirting some black fruit followed by herbs, high toned floral lift and a rocky savouriness. A piercing acidity is directing the palate and is balanced by the round fruit with a slight gum gripping tannic grip. Graceful walk with plenty of impact. — 6 years ago
The 2014 Tench Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon exudes dark berry flavors with a hint of fresh blueberry, which defines this special site. A mouthwatering entry coats the palate, while the flavor and texture are complemented by restrained oak. Ultimately, the tannins dissolve, leaving an impression of resolution and completeness. — 7 years ago
Great acidic and mineral structure, the fruit has a real volume and is in total balance with the minerals and acids. The aromatic range spreads a wide spectrum with no highlighting, its dynamic expression is not compromised, the architecture has a genuine depth and dimension. The mineral resolution is lower than those from the limestone terroir but it has an airy bloom that lifts the whole structure to another dimension. — 8 years ago
New Years resolution: drink more Hermitage. — 9 years ago
Classic French Bordeaux nose. Garnet color out to the edge. In the mouth lean Cabernet fruits with perfect resolution of tannins. Will be better with more aeration. — 9 years ago
A very delicious and balanced blend with fresh boysenberry, blueberry and blackberry with emerging notes of smoke, flint, mulled spices, menthol and vegetal undertones. Pretty smooth on the mouthfeel with tannins well on their way to resolution. — 7 years ago

Amazing how young this still is, but after it opened up I found myself just kept smelling it. In tertiary flavor territory. Rose, cherry, light tar, and rich wood notes on the nose almost perfectly mirrored on the palate followed by a crazy long finish. Beautiful wine, that once again I drank way to soon. Patience is a New Years resolution. — 9 years ago
Not a bad bottle for #burgundythursday slight hint of black cherry, soy, spices (almost corning spices), meat, leather, chalky dust, barnyard, tannins still fairly noticeable with some resolution and integration still to come. Another decade won't hurt this. — 9 years ago
Nice Syrah, lots of depth and character, front and middle are lovely, back end resolution nice but not perfect balance for me. I don't know that a 100% syrah can ever resolve in perfect balance for me. That said, it is better than good. Hefty, dark ruby, swagger. Watch out.. she bang: 15.7%. Big enough that it doesn't taste hot though — 5 years ago
Enjoyable wine. I had it with an Italian chicken meal, but it would have been great with a steak or Cajun roast beef. Holds its own without overwhelming the taste of the meal. — 8 years ago
Classic Verduno. Floral aromas jump out of the glass, along with herbs, leather and tar. Tart, crunchy red fruits with tight, pulling tannins. A young entry-level Barolo that is still quite young and austere, even on the second night. Powerful yet lean Verduno that requires at least another 5-7 years to show resolution, balance and true harmony. I’m excited for that. — 8 years ago
Interesting to read through the comments in this wine, it's not for everyone, but I love it. It reminds me of Big Black, if anyone remembers them from the 80s, the stark tannin structure is like that metallic grating guitar, cleansing, purifying, hard, stripped down. Orange wine is stripped down, it is missing the veneer of fruit and color, that is part of what is so special about it. It is like bauhaus architecture, you see the steel girders and the electrical conduit. This one is particularly that way. With a delicious resolution. — 9 years ago

DAY 1
Served with the Vinlog System
👃Pretty pinot cherry flavors + cloves
👅The fruit is more dark. Earthy + tar. Midpalate is slightly thin. Some tannins that need time for resolution
Remaining wine was Slow Decanted in my fridge
DAY 11
👅Tannins are less than Day 1 but still noticeable. Purple fruit, earth & tar. Finishes nicely with fruit and licorice
I enjoyed this both days. Elegant and pretty but needs time to express itself and soften the tannins a bit. But I like it now and I love it’s potential🍷
