Excellent value second press valpolicella wine. Smooth dark fruits and fig with soft holiday spices. Well balanced. Better than some Amarone I’ve tasted at a portion of the price. Not spectacular like the better Amarone but a great everyday selection from the region. — a month ago
Very light colored. Candy- like in some ways. Lots a pepper- spice. Had this with a shallot- pancetta-Parmesan risotto- only with farro rather than spice. Very nice- not overpowering at all. I’ve found this winery’s wines excellent. — 5 months ago

Classic old-style lighter Valpo. Cherry, almond, bitter herbs, and gravel on the nose. Bright and almost ethereally textured on the flowing palate. Nice acids, and a slightly bitterish cleansing close. Imperfect? No, perfect. (The 9.3 doesn’t reflect that this is as complex or complete a wine as, say, a Burgundy or Napa Cab to which I might give the same rating, but that it is exactly what it is supposed to be and I’m enjoying it for that.) — 13 hours ago
